Welcome to Cater Conscious! By accessing and using our website https://caterconscious.com (the “Site”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our Site.

1. Introduction

Cater Conscious is an online marketplace that connects customers with local chefs to provide climate-friendly catering for personal and corporate events. Our curated packages ensure delicious meals with a low carbon footprint.

2. Services

2.1 Service Areas

We are currently based in Sydney and are planning to expand to other Australian cities soon.

2.2 How It Works

Step 1: Select a Package and Place Order
- Enter your event details on the Site, select a package and the number of people, click ‘add to cart,’ and proceed to checkout.
Step 2: Confirmation with the Chef
- We will confirm your order with the chef within 1-2 business days. We will not charge your card until the order is confirmed.
Step 3: Food Delivery
- Our delivery driver will deliver the food at your requested timeslot. We can also assist with setting up the food if required.

CaterConscious aims to simplify the catering process by doing the homework for you. Simply enter your event details, select a package, and we’ll take care of the rest!

2.3 Payment

Charge Process: After checkout, a hold will be placed on your card, appearing as a ‘pending’ transaction. Payment is processed after order confirmation. If we cannot fulfill the order, the payment transaction will be canceled, and we will contact you with alternatives.

2.4 Delivery Fees

Calculation: If delivery is selected, a fee is estimated based on the distance from the kitchen to your address. Multiple fees may apply if multiple restaurants are selected, as additional routes may be required.

3. Order Modifications and Cancellations

3.1 Cancellation Policy

Notify us immediately if you need to cancel your catering order. A cancellation fee may apply if insufficient notice is provided, generally within 7 days of the event.

3.2 Modifying Orders

If you wish to modify your order, contact us immediately. We will try to accommodate changes, but additional fees may apply if insufficient notice is given or if ingredients have been purchased/preparation has begun.

4. Food Safety

We ensure our chefs have all necessary food safety certifications and licenses. Our delivery drivers are experienced in transporting food safely.

5. User Responsibilities

By using our Site, you agree to:

Provide accurate and current information.
Maintain the security of your account and password.
Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your information and any other data you provide to us.

6. Intellectual Property
