CaterConscious is an online marketplace that connects you with local chefs to provide carbon-neutral catering for your personal and corporate events.

We know that sorting the catering for your event can be a complex and time-consuming task; calling around restaurants, comparing prices, menu options and portion sizes. But we’ve done the homework for you, simply enter your event details to see relevant packages and select the one you like!

What is CaterConscious?

CaterConscious is an online marketplace that connects customers with local chefs to provide carbon-neutral catering for personal and corporate events.

What areas do you serve?

We are currently based in Sydney, with plans to expand to other Australian cities soon!

How does it work?

You can browse our packages here. We recommend entering your event details to filter for the relevant packages. Select a package, select your options if required and click ‘add to cart’. Once you’ve added all the food you need, click “Cart” at the top of the page and the “Checkout” button. Enter your billing and shipping details, payment method, delivery date and time and click the “Place Order” button.

Will I be charged immediately?

After you checkout, we will place a temporary hold on your card (will show as a ‘pending’ transaction in your account). After we confirm with our chef that we’re good to go then we will send you an order confirmation, invoice and process the payment. In the unlikely event that we cannot do the order, we will cancel the payment transaction and contact you immediately with alternative options.

How is the delivery fee calculated?

If you select the delivery option, we will estimate a delivery fee from the kitchen to your address. Note if multiple restaurants are selected, multiple fees may apply as our driver will need to take a longer route.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please notify us immediately if you no longer require the catering order. If insufficient notice is provided (generally within 3 days of the event), a cancellation fee may apply.

Can I modify my order after placing it?

If you have a change of mind and would like to change your order to a different package or the number of people, please let us know ASAP. We will try to accommodate as best we can, however if there is insufficient notice and the chefs have purchased ingredients or begun preparation then an additional fee may apply.

Is the food safe?

We have taken measures to ensure our chefs have all the necessary food safety certifications and licenses, and are equipped to prepare your food in a safe and hygienic manner. Our delivery drivers are also experienced in transporting food safely.
